A free pre-alpha upcoming game BloodShard, currently developing its own engine in Java. There is little content yet due to the low progress in development.

BloodShard is a motion-based shooter.

There will be both a story and a story-based multiplayer.

Humanity has been fighting alien life for years until they created us, a machine powered by the dust of alien crystals, and now that we have been tasked with obtaining the valuable core that started the infestation. It is considered valuable because Earth is running out of fuel. But are we really trying to get the material or do we need something more?
